Rights and Obligations of Clients and Prospective Clients

Lumen Accounting is a registered BAS agent, bound by the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 and the Tax Agent Services (Code of Professional Conduct) Determination 2024. Section 45 of the Determination requires us to provide current and prospective clients with certain information about our registration, your rights, and how to raise a concern. In accordance with section 45 of the Determination, we confirm:

  • There are no conditions currently imposed on our registration by the TPB.
  • There are no reportable events affecting our registration within the last 5 years that we are required to disclose to you.

Should this position change, we will update this page and separately notify current clients in writing within the timeframe required under the Code.

  • Act honestly, competently, and in your best interests, consistent with our obligations under the Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Keep your information confidential, except where disclosure is authorised by you or required by law.
  • Communicate clearly about the scope of services we’re providing and any fees involved.

You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information and records you provide to us, and for providing them in a timely manner so we can meet your compliance deadlines.
